Fair Trade Fortnight 2009

Fair Trade Fortnight, Australia and New Zealand's biggest annual celebration of all things fair trade, took place between 2 - 17 May 2009.

FTAANZ thanks the thousands of people across both countries who took part in hundreds of activities and events, including Fairtrade coffee breaks, fiestas, stalls, coffee tastings and competitions -  helping make this year’s Fortnight the biggest yet.

While Fair Trade Fortnight has drawn to a close you can still continue to support Fairtrade all year round! By making the simple decision to look for the Fairtrade Label when buying your weekly groceries or even when grabbing a cup of coffee at your local café, you can continue to make a big difference to the lives of developing country producers, their families and communities. Every dollar you spend on Fairtrade products is a vote for a better future for these producers and their families - it means they can send their kids to school, build roads and access better health care. Help continue to tackle poverty and empower producers in developing countries around the world – always choose Fairtrade!
