The documentary shows the barriers preventing coffee farmers in Ethiopia from obtaining a living wage from their labour. It follows the path of a co-operative worker as he tracks the processes through which coffee reaches the supermarket shelf, and shows how the market structures are stacked in favour of an often inefficient and greedy supply chain of middle-men. The movie shows the positive work of the Oromia Co-operative in the community. A discussion after the documentary will focus on thinking about what might be done to promote Fair Trade in our local area.
