Fair Trade Fortnight 2009 provides you with more ways than ever to get involved in helping to tackle poverty and empower producers in developing countries.

By simply taking part in all or any of the Fair Trade Fortnight events and activities listed below you can help make a big change in the lives of developing country producers, workers, their families and communities:

Below are some other great Fair Trade Fortnight ideas that you can organise yourself in order to help get your friends and family thinking about fair trade and making the change:

  • Bake it! During FTF09 why not add some Fairtrade ingredients to your recipes. Stores like Trade Aid, Oxfam Shops, organic health food stores and major supermarkets all stock some fantastic Fairtrade ingredients!
  • Taste it! Invite family and friends to your own fair trade coffee and chocolate tasting event. Score the coffee, pick your favourites and enjoying lots of yummy chocolate! You can really make an evening of it.
  • Kick it! Have a soccer, rugby or touch match using Fairtrade sports balls or substitute your teams sports balls for Fairtrade ones during FTF09.
  • Change it! Swap the coffee, tea and sugar in your workplace to Fairtrade during FTF09. If just a few people at your workplace change to Fairtrade products as a result, you’ll be helping farmers in the developing world to change their lives. Who knows, maybe your workplace will change to Fairtrade permanently and become a Fair Trade Community

The hundreds of Fair Trade Fortnight events held Australia and New Zealand have helped make this year's Fortnight the biggest yet!
